Group Events

Our aim for every group exercise class is simple: Create a consistently great workout in a consistently fun environment. Simple, yes, but the history of the fitness industry suggests otherwise. Luckily, weve been around the block a few times and think weve found the reason. Simply put, consistency is elusive. Go to most clubs and you can see it; some classes are packed and others are dead i.e. Intermediate Step class on Saturday morning is packed while Intermediate Step on Tuesday night is dead. Why? Its the same class at historically popular times. Something else is playing out here.

The newest research shows that instructor variance is most often the culprit. This makes complete sense when considering that instructors are typically volunteers or teaching as a hobby and can only devote their leftover time to design a class. Since that leftover time differs from person to person it typically results in class quality that is erratic. While many clubs experience this, we know it does not have to be this way.

Imagine: the class you attend on Tuesday has the same great energy as the one you attend on Thursday. Even better, imagine that the class you attend on Tuesday prepped you to have an even better workout on Thursday. Its not a pipe dream, its a pre-choreographed reality and its alive and well in all the classes we teach. Whether its a Turbokick Round, PiYo Lesson, or a Step or Barbell Launch, youll be able to make learning the routine your workout and work pleasurably toward mastery at a metered pace. Because the basics (music, base moves and format) are consistent (no matter who is teaching) for a 2-3 month launch/lesson/round, we do throw in a few new bells and whistles each week to add flavor and combat boredom. Once the 2-3 month period is over we start a new round/lesson/launch. So join us and enjoy the ride without the fear of getting lost.
